Millicent is a Jamaican native who grew up watching and then helping her father cook for their family. At an early age, she recognized the power of food to bring people together, to evoke memories, and to transport you to other places. She moved to the mountains of WNC in 2007. Unable to find her beloved cuisine in Asheville, Millicent sought to cater to those who desired fresh, high-quality, authentic island fare and thus, Milly’s Tayse of Di Island LLC was born. Millicent is so excited to share her family food traditions with you and everyone in the community! One Love.
